PURSUE THE PLAYFUL THINGS

Hello.
Isobel loves to play, as do most 2 year olds. She is now in the "what's that?" "what cha doing?" stage and is so interested and involved in anything that she can get interested and involved in.
They say that children are like sponges and it really is true in Izzie's case. She soaks up every little thing, good and bad (which reminds me that I really must curb my swearing) and relays it like it's no big deal, all the while I'm sat there open mouthed wondering how she got so gosh darn smart.

FEEL THE LOVE FRIDAY #4

Hello.
I've been a bit of a busy bee this week and as a result haven't wasted spent as much time as usual on the interweb (how old did that make me sound?!). I still have a few loves to share with y'all though so here goes ...

PURSUE THE TASTY THINGS

Hello.
I like food. I also like to cook. Not quite as much as I like food but hey, there aren't many things in life that I do like as much as food.

PURSUE THE GREEN FINGERED THINGS

Hello.

I have a confession to make...I kill plants. No matter what I do they die.
I have however, over the past few years had a number of fruitful attempts at growing vegetables. Last year Andy and I even harvested a few super skinny carrots, a handful of ropey looking green beans and some miniature Maris Piper potatoes.
Following our previous (sort of) success I'm aiming big with this years crops whilst hopefully ticking number 13 off my list of things to pursue; Grow a Cucumber. I'm hoping to grow a few other lovelies too but this is the year that I WILL harvest and eat a cucumber that has been grown in my very own back garden by my very own hands.

PURSUE THE FOODY THINGS

Hello.

I like jars and I never throw them away...EVER. Jam jars, pasta sauce jars, peanut butter jars. Call me a hoarder if you will but jars in all their many shapes and sizes really do have a million uses. I use them when making marinades and dressings (chuck it all in, give it a shake and voila). I use them as make shift vases to hold Flowers. They serve as pretty good glasses when in need of a large beverage. I love the glow of a candle in a jar and don't even get me started on how fond I am of cupcakes in jars (mmmm cake).
But, no use is nearly as outstanding as the latest I have come across. Behold ...
THE SALAD IN A JAR!

FEEL THE LOVE FRIDAY #2

Hello.
I cannot believe how fast this week has gone, but here we are again, embarking on this weeks 'Feel the love Friday'.

PURSUE THE FITNESS THINGS

Hello.

I hope you had a lovely Easter and are enjoying the very rare sunshine we have been fortunate enough to experience over the past few days. My weekend was absolutely lovely and filled with lots of smiles, yummy food, duck feeding and a spot of egg painting, plus copious amounts of giggles from a sugar filled Isobel, who was adamant it was her birthday.
Hide and seek fun in the woods
Spurred on by the glorious (but hideously cold) weather, I have decided to begin the pursuit of something else from my list; Number 3. Get fit.
